GoToBorregoSprings.com and Borrego Sun are part of Ram Media Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on strengthening community through local journalism, digital media, storytelling, public media access, and community communication in Borrego Springs and surrounding desert communities.


Together, the platforms help connect residents, visitors, businesses, nonprofits, artists, and community organizations through local news, events, tourism information, storytelling, photography, social media, and digital outreach.

Founded in 1949, Borrego Sun has served Borrego Springs for more than 75 years, documenting the people, issues, businesses, schools, events, and community history that shape the region. Today, Borrego Sun continues its local journalism mission while expanding online access to community news and information.


GoToBorregoSprings.com was created to help increase the visibility of Borrego Springs and surrounding desert communities through digital media, tourism promotion, social media, websites, photography, community storytelling, and online marketing support. Over the past several years, the platform has helped promote local events, nonprofits, businesses, arts, tourism, and community initiatives year-round.


By bringing Borrego Sun and GoToBorregoSprings.com together under Ram Media Foundation, the community gains both a long-standing local news source and an expanding digital platform


Ram Media Foundation is also creating opportunities for youth interns to gain hands-on experience in journalism, digital media, marketing, social media, photography, video, and community communication while supporting local organizations and businesses.


Ram Media Foundation is located at 730 Christmas Circle in Borrego Springs and also includes non-commercial radio station KRAM 90.5 FM, which carries news, programming, and entertainment from KPBS-FM in San Diego to Borrego Springs.
