On March 8, International Women’s Day, Soroptimist International of Borrego Springs gathered across from Christmas Circle to walk in support of women’s rights and equality. Community members, both women and men, joined the walk to show their commitment to empowering women and girls.
Participants carried signs with messages like “Real Men Support Women’s Rights” and “Empower Women, Empower the World.” The group stood together to advocate for gender equality and celebrate women’s contributions.
Some wearing their blue Soroptimist shirts, members connected with the community and shared their mission of supporting women and girls. Soroptimist programs provide scholarships, career guidance, and resources to help local women succeed.
The walk was more than a demonstration—it was a statement of unity and action. Against the backdrop of Borrego Springs' desert landscape, participants reinforced the importance of standing up for women’s rights.
Soroptimist International of Borrego Springs remains dedicated to creating opportunities for women, proving that when a community comes together, change happens.
